Health Focused Dentistry
There is no greater wealth than health! In dentistry, by the time a tooth hurts, it’s typically a sign of advancing decay and additional out of pocket costs too. One way to curb the out of pocket costs is to visit the dental office as frequently as deemed necessary by your dentist or dental hygienist. The health of each patients mouth differs and bacteria builds up differently in each person. Partnering with your dental hygienist to determine what preventative care regimen is appropriate for your oral health will allow you to minimize the burden of more costly dental expenses, improve your health and keep your smile bright!
Bleeding, puffy gums are not normal or healthy. Science shows a direct link between oral health and overall body health. Bleeding is a sign of infection and the bacteria from your gums is setting off other alarms in your body too. *Periodontal disease increases risk of heart disease, stroke, respiratory diseases, cancers such as kidney, pancreatic and blood cancers.
At Silvertree Dental, our periodontal program is designed to get results. We utilize a precise treatment schedule and advanced technology that helps to eliminate the harmful bacteria that eats away at the bone structure that keeps your teeth in place. The great news is you will not experience any down time, pain or problems following your periodontal treatment in our office.
Composite Fillings (White Fillings)
At Silvertree Dental, we only place white, composite fillings. We have not placed mercury-amalgam fillings in many years. Composite fillings are very durable and they provide for a more aesthetic look for patients. Say goodbye to silver!
CEREC Crowns (Crowns in 1 visit)
For many of you who have had a crown placed by other dental providers, the experience can be quite a burden. At the majority of dental offices, after a dentist prepares a tooth for a crown, you receive a plastic temporary crown for 2 weeks and then must return for the placement of the permanent crown, missing more work or personal time. At Silvertree Dental, you are in and out with a perfectly fitting crown in 1.5 hours and able to eat what you want right away! No additional cost or visits required.
The use of lasers in dentistry has had a significant impact on the quality of care that were able to provide and are partly responsible for the painless, incredible results our providers are able to produce. Lasers are typically recommended when gums are inflamed, bleeding and during any treatment for gum disease.
Close to 43,250 Americans will be diagnosed with oral or pharyngeal cancer this year. It will cause over 8,000 deaths, killing roughly 1 person per hour, 24 hours per day. Of those 43,250 newly diagnosed individuals, only slightly more than half will be alive in 5 years. While we can’t cure oral cancer our office is committed to technology that provides early detection, Oral ID. Oral ID is a special light that we use to look for abnormalities in the pink tissue. Typcially cancerous leisons do not allow for the flow of blood and when detected, our office will send patients for biopsy of the tissue. We have had been responsible for extending the lives of a number of patients.
Your smile is the first thing someone notices about you. Cosmetic dentistry has been known to provide patients with self confidence and greater self-esteem improving both career and personal life.

Prosthodontics/Reconstructive Dentistry is devoted to the construction and replacement of oral structures with artificial substitutes, like crowns and bridges, complete dentures or precision attachments for partials and dentures. We also offer full mouth reconstruction. The replacement of teeth and other oral structures is necessitated by congenital abnormalities, loss of teeth from disease or trauma, and destruction of teeth or jaws or other parts of the mouth by surgical management of neoplasms or trauma.
Endodontic Therapy (Root Canals)
Endodontic Therapy removes infected or damaged tissue from inside a tooth. This tissue, called the pulp, contains nerves and blood vessels that help nourish the tooth. After the pulp is removed, the pulp chamber and root canals are cleaned, sterilized, filled and sealed. We offer root canal therapy and also make referrals to an endodontist for complicated canal anatomies.
The introduction of implants into dentistry has resulted in a great service to patients with missing teeth! Missing teeth can cause a number of issues for patients including gaps from teeth shifting, digestion issues, periodontal concerns and more. Single tooth implants replace a missing tooth easily and without worry. The implant will look like a tooth and feel like a tooth, and the process is fairly quick and easy!
Dentures supported by implants (All-On-4)
It’s fair to say that nobody wants dentures. Dentures are usually loose, can come out while talking and restrict the blood flow in the mouth. Fortunately we’re able to offer our patients an alternative to dentures called All-On-4. All-On-4 is similar to dentures except instead of the denture flopping around in your mouth, the denture is secured by implants, enabling them to look and feel like natural teeth.
